Mamta joined Smile Train in 2006 managing the largest program area in India and is currently the Vice President & Regional Director for Asia. Based in New Delhi and working on the frontlines in some of the most remote locations in India, Mamta has seen first-hand the enormity of cleft, its impact on entire families, and the adaptability of Smile Train’s partners to transform lives.

A development professional with extensive communications experience in international and in-country organizations, Mamta has worked in social and healthcare delivery models. She has been engaged in corporate communications, public diplomacy, environmental education, outreach programs, healthcare awareness, and paralegal aid to underprivileged sections of society in rural and semi-urban areas of India.
Mamta was educated in India at Loreto Convent, Isabella Thoburn College and the National Institute of Information Technology (NIIT). Mamta has also been trained in Reputation Management and Media Training with the Stern School of Business and Shandwick Inc.
