My life feels like the reality version of a “Tale of Two Cities.” I am a Canadian who moved to California twenty years ago and now find myself working in San Francisco and spending my weekends at my home in Riverside, which is located in Southern California. I am married with three grown kids and a menagerie of pets that keep me entertained!
My IRONMAN journey started after years as a runner. I had participated in many running events over the years, including 27 marathons and was looking to push myself in a new challenge. After training my brain past open water anxiety and continuing to work on becoming a more efficient cyclist, I finally crossed the IMAZ finish line as a proud Smile Train Athlete in 2015. I am always inspired by the stories of other athletes and am honoured to be able to help inspire and coach others in achieving their athletic and life goals.
As an RN with a background in Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine, the Smile Train mission really grabbed my heart. I am excited and proud to know that my fundraising efforts have changed the lives of many children. I am looking forward to adding more smiles to many more deserving little faces this year and helping other athletes do the same!
