I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a degree in elementary education. Currently I’m pursuing my Masters of Public Health at the University of Colorado-Anschutz Medical Campus. I have always had a passion for kids and health so will put the two together during my upcoming practicum and capstone projects with Boulder Valley School District. I love living in Denver and the active lifestyle and abundance of triathletes is a blast!
Growing up I was an ice skater and had the opportunity to represent Team USA at competitions across the USA and overseas. Triathlons became a part of my life around 2003 when my dad signed up my whole family for a sprint triathlon. After that, I never looked back and have completed in well over 100 triathlons around the country including all distances from sprint to full! My favorite race was IRONMAN Arizona in 2012 when my youngest brother, dad, and I all raced together! When my dad raced with Smile Train Team EMPOWER at IMAZ in 2014, I fell in love with the organization and knew that I wanted to become involved with them as well.
I am so excited to be an ambassador and look forward to giving back and helping everyone on their path to accomplishing their athletic goals and dreams!
