I’m a third-year ambassador and live in New Albany, Ohio with my wife and six kids, all under the age of 10!
I’m a sports physical therapist and researcher at The Ohio State University. In 2014 IRONMAN Arizona became my second triathlon at the 140.6 mile distance. Prior to this my race history included five 70.3 mile races and over 50 Olympic/sprint triathlons. Of the three legs, cycling is my favorite while swimming is the least.
As a child, I had a significant hip problem that has since motivated me to be as active as possible for as long as possible and to inspire others to do the same. Triathlon has been the perfect medium to achieve this goal. Being involved with Smile Train Team EMPOWER in 2014 was the best part of my IRONMAN Arizona experience and I look forward to continuing this relationship and supporting others on their journeys to becoming an IRONMAN, including my wife who completed her first IRONMAN at Chattanooga in 2015!
